It is with deep sadness that we say goodbye to Eva Røine, who peacefully passed away on Saturday evening at the age of 97.
Eva, together with Riitta and Daggis, was one of the founding members of the Nordic Baltic Board of Examiners, established in 1993. Her vision, wisdom, and unwavering dedication helped shape psychodrama not only in Norway but throughout the Nordic and Baltic countries. Her influence reached far beyond institutions. It lives in the people she inspired, the professionals she guided, and the countless lives touched by her work.
As Eduardo Verdú so beautifully wrote: «Some people leave their mark. Others create a path. You did both.»
Eva brought psychodrama to Norway and gave it a home. She believed deeply in the human capacity to grow, to heal and to find new paths. Her life’s work continues through everyone who carries psychodrama forward with presence, respect and hope.
The NBBE community is profoundly grateful for Eva’s lifelong contribution to our profession and to our shared community. Her legacy will continue to inspire future generations of psychodramatists across the Nordic and Baltic countries and beyond.
Thank you, dear Eva, for your courage, your wisdom, your warmth and your unwavering faith in people.
Rest in peace. Your life’s work lives on, and you will always remain in our hearts.
In Loving Memory of Eva Røine (1928–2026).
